I make photos and other art based on photographic processes, such as color photograms. For my photography, I mostly shoot outdoors with a medium-format film camera, collecting pieces of urban landscapes. My photograms stem from parallel interests in abstract art and darkroom experiments.

After growing up in the Midwest (where I majored in journalism at the University of Missouri) and a long stretch in New York City (where I got into photography and studied at the International Center of Photography), I now live in Portland, Oregon, with my husband (writer Douglas Wolk), our young son, and fraternal-twin cats.
